Sports Massage

Initial consultation

An initial consultation is an opportunity for the therapist and client to get to known each other and discuss the client’s health, musculoskeletal and sporting history. From this discussion the therapist can gain a more in-depth insight into the client as a whole and the best way to treat them. This usually last around 15 minutes, allowing a further 45 minutes for any postural, functional movement and range of movement assessments that may be required and a sports massage in the area/areas that the client would like to be treated. In order to have sports massages an initial assessment must be completed to ensure that it is safe for the therapist to treat you.
